If you have a middle school age son and he loves baseball and wants to improve all aspects of his swing; our summer baseball hitting camp is for you!
Swing and hitting development will include:
- Bat speed development
- Rotational power development
- Bat path (staying on plane longer) development
- Barreling the ball to all areas of the field
- Pitch selection/approach at the plate
We will use various methods such as overload and underload bats; medicine balls; PVC pipes; hitting plyo balls; water bags; Rapsodo Hitting Technology; Blast Motion; pitching machine work; live batting practice; and various drills to develop skill and output.
Each hitter will be evaluated the first week of camp on Rapsodo and Blast Motion in order to identify a specific area of focus for their development. A mid-point and final evaluation will also be performed to track progress and development.
The camp will be run by Corey Willis. Corey played baseball at EMU and has worked with multiple middle school athletes and travel teams as well as our college hitters. He’s has a great approach to hitting development that combines barrel to ball skills as well as output.
The camp will be limited to only 5 kids to ensure quality hands on instruction, development and repetition.
